Bad addresses 'let down veterans'

Lost mail is preventing US military veterans receiving money owed to them from accident and injury compensation claims, it has been asserted.

According to, campaign group Veterans-for-Change is calling for the installation of a computerized claims system that will require all necessary information be completed properly before the claims processor can move on to the next field or screen and finish the application.

The organisation commented: "US Mail is famous for losing the mail or delivering to an incorrect address. When this happens, the vicious cycle must be repeated."

Writing in the publication, group founder Jim Davis added that the Veterans Association is letting down military personnel by failing to deal with their claims effectively.

Last week, the Franchise Magazine reported comments by David Tester, the winner of the Mail Boxes Etc Franchisee of the Year award, that demand for effective postal and data collection services in the US is on the rise.
