Enterprises are increasingly looking to capitalize on the benefits offered to them by adopting cloud computing services, it has been suggested.

According to an article by the Al Bawaba news site, many organizations are turning to the cloud to unleash their potential for innovation through creativity, flexibility and efficiency at a reduced cost.

The news provider claims that cloud computing can expect to experience "phenomenal growth" in the future, as more businesses recognize the growing benefits associated with it.

Speaking to the news provider, Helal Saeed Almarri, chief executive officer of the Dubai World Trade Centre, explained that the cloud was the future for many companies.

"It is clear that cloud computing represents the early stages of a big shift in the IT sector as it offers enormous potential in terms of reduced costs and operational flexibility," he confirmed.

According to a study by the Pew Research Center, cloud computing will overtake desktop computing within the next ten years.
