New research has forecast that the worldwide cloud systems management software market will experience rapid growth in the coming years.
The International Data Corporation (IDC) has claimed that the market will reach $2.5 billion by 2015, with businesses realizing the economic and performance benefits of the technology.
Last year, 70 per cent of all worldwide cloud system management software purchases were deployed in private cloud environments.
Mary Johnston Turner, research director of Enterprise System Management Software, said that cloud adoption will hit “tipping point” in the coming years.
“There will be a significant shift from targeted, pilot implementations to broader production uses,” she added. “As cloud adoption reaches a tipping point and becomes mainstream, we expect this market to experience a robust 45.5 per cent compound annual growth rate between 2010 and 2015."
Meanwhile, according to the findings of IDC's research, the US represents 63.1 per cent of the worldwide cloud systems management market at present, with EMEA and Asia Pacific predicted to make steady gains until 2015.
