An arts college near Chicago, Illinois, has decided to install a customer relationship management (CRM) solution to assist with data quality in enrolment programs.
According to a report from CRM Today the new program will replace the Shimer College's old legacy system in favor of the greater sophistication on offer through CRM.
The system has been installed to help maximize efficiency in the college and save the amount of time needed to go through enrolment records and process students starting at the institution, while preserving data quality at the same time.
Elaine Vincent, director of admission for Shimer College, said: "[This CRM solution] will allow our small staff to be more efficient and provide access to more data - we'll be able to plan and forecast in ways we could only dream about until now."
CRM is being increasingly viewed as a good application to use with social networking sites to help businesses expand their customer bases and computer giant Microsoft recently tied its Dynamics CRM to micro-blogging service Twitter.
