Writing for revenews.com, internet marketing specialist Sarah Bundy noted that email can be both an "inexpensive" and "highly lucrative" marketing tool.
"As one of the most simple, effective, and sometimes overlooked marketing channels, email marketing is inexpensive, highly lucrative and does a great job of solidifying brand loyalty for current customers," she confirmed.
Ms Bundy was laying out her predictions for the ten internet-based marking channels that will have an influence on the sector in 2011.
In addition to email marketing, the expert suggested that this would be the year when video starts to play a more important role in campaigns, stating that marketers "can't ignore video".
