Experian QAS has announced that it will be teaming up with Con Edison to help the company improve the quality of its address data.
Con Edison has purchased both QAS Pro and QAS Batch to help it to minimize returned mail by ensuring the accuracy of mailing addresses at the point of entry to a system.
"We spend millions of dollars every year on mailings," said Robin Segur, manager of credit and collections and customer service operations at the company.
"Even though we have service addresses standardized in our system, we are seeing a growing number of returned mail each month."
QAS Pro will be introduced into Con Edison's three call centers and will ensure accurate account setup and address changes in real time, while QAS Batch will be used in back-office operations to correct existing address data.
Con Edison provides electricity, natural gas and steam service to New York City and Westchester County.
