Many more businesses are like to use customer relationship management (CRM) solutions in 2010, according to information technology firm Gartner.
The organization believes the technology will be among the most heavily-used by businesses next year, while enterprise resource planning systems are also likely to be used more.
CRM solutions are already used by many businesses around the world to help build and sustain customer bases by ensuring a high level of data quality and making sure they are providing the service their clients want.
David Cearley, vice-president and distinguished analyst at Gartner, said: "Companies should factor the top ten technologies into their strategic planning process by asking key questions and making deliberate decisions about them during the next two years."
He added businesses will not necessarily benefit from investing in all the different technologies the organization has included in its list.
Data Quality Pro has said businesses could improve data quality standards by making sure they set attainable goals.
