Jim Henson's Muppets character Kermit the Frog will feature on this year's holiday stamps.
In a ceremony at the historic James A Farley Post Office lobby in New York City, postmaster general John E Potter was joined by Kermit and fellow Muppet Fozzie Bear to announce the holiday stamps.
Mr Potter said that the postal service was "delighted to partner with the Walt Disney Company and the Muppets to kick off the holiday mailing season".
Kermit added that he was "excited to be helping the postal service make the holiday special for kids across the country. It's the perfect way to celebrate".
USPS will also be running their annual 'Letters to Santa' campaign which asks several charities and members of the public write and send replies to the many letters that children write to Santa and other seasonal characters over Christmas.
The largest of these is in New York City, where the program sees tens of thousands of people adopting letters to reply to every year.
