Agricultural enterprise US Equine Direct has been harnessing the power of direct mail to boost its success during the economic downturn.
According to Ocala Business Journal, the organization has implemented a direct mail campaign to help its business during the downturn and has been impressed with the results.
Kay Holloway, business manager at US Equine Direct, told the publication that the direct mail initiative had helped get the message out to a wider audience.
She added: "Once the word is out, you can hardly contain the fire, which is fantastic."
Any effort to deliver a successful direct mail campaign requires a high standard of data quality and needs good address data so that appropriate people can be targeted effectively.
Despite the downturn, recent months have seen a rise in the number of direct mailings being made across the US, as more banks and financial institutions return to advertising their businesses after the crisis in the sector at the end of 2008.
