USPS® lets users make own Christmas cards

Rachel Wheeler Archive
USPS has unveiled a new service allowing users to upload digital photos to make their own personalized Christmas cards and postage stamps.

The CardStore service also includes 50 pre-set designs that can be used, which include religious, multi-cultural, non-denominational and traditional festive images and greetings.

Customers can either have the personalized card sent directly to the recipient or mailed to them so that they can send it themselves.

Robert Bernstock, president of mailing and shipping services at USPS, said that the service "brings the card store to you".

He added: "All you need is a computer, internet connection and a digital photo and you are ready to design personalized cards and postage."

The service's products start at a price of 79 cents.

USPS estimates that it will deliver more than 16 billion letters, parcels and packages over the holiday season to addresses all across the country and to US military bases abroad.
