Video is a 'powerful' marketing tool

Email marketing professionals thinking of utilizing address verification software to improve their campaigns may want to heed the comments of one industry expert.

Erik Bratt, president of Engage Social Media, recommended that marketers consider taking advantage of online video in their correspondence with customers.

Writing for the Sign On San Diego website, Mr Bratt explained that attitudes towards online video content are changing, with it rapidly growing in popularity as a business tool.

"The web is no longer static - it's interactive and video is become an increasingly popular form of content to engage and retain customers. Consider adding it to your digital marketing checklist," he said.

Meanwhile, a recent post on the Marketing Pilgrim website recommended that professionals working in the email marketing industry respond to the shift in focus towards mobile. Industry commentator Frank Reed highlighted the need for marketers to respond to the growing uptake of smartphones and email on the go.
