What is the National Canvasse?

The National Canvasse is an extension of the Electoral Register, provided by Experian. It contains 40 million records, all of which are updated on a monthly basis, bringing together multiple data sources including:

  • Edited Electoral Roll data
  • Proprietary data from Experian survey responders
  • 3rd party partner data
  • Segmentation classifications including: Mosaic, Financial Strategy Segments, Fashion segments and TrueTouch.

What does the National Canvasse do?

Experian's National Canvasse aims to fill any gaps potentially left by those who opt out of the Electoral Register. The data provides over 90% coverage of these opt-outs, providing its users with a huge extension tool for their databases and contact data strategies. It provides a comprehensive view of over 40 million records, updated monthly.

The National Canvasse data includes gender, age, marital status, income and household composition.
