What is the Public Data Corporation?

The Public Data Corporation facilitates the effectively management and distribution of government-held data.

What is the purpose of the Public Data Corporation?

The Public Data Corporation was set up to make government data more easily available and to manage this data effectively.
However, The Treasury and Department of Business, Innovation and Skills who were working to make this ready for business for April 2011 dissolved it in 2012 whilst the Cabinet Office determine how to effectively use this data.
