The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision’s Regulation Number 239 is a set on principles for risk data aggregation and the associated reporting first published in the January of 2013.
Consisting of five sections covering 14 principles, the regulation takes a comprehensive view of data management including but not limited to Data Governance, architecture and infrastructure, accuracy and integrity, completeness, timeliness, adaptability, clarity and usefulness, frequency, distribution, review and supervisory measures.
This regulation requires data lineage, data governance and data quality. Experian Pandora has over 250 BCBS rules mapped to the three Dimensions of Data Quality in the regulation.
