The EU have agreed a new Data Protection Regulation known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into effect in May 2018. The GDPR will introduce new accountability obligations that will significantly impact how businesses manage their data assets.
To continue a trading relationship with the EU and any business handling personal data on EU citizens, the UK will still need to comply with GDPR (or a UK equivalent). It’s therefore essential that businesses don’t delay and get prepared for the GDPR.
Join our half-day roundtable, where our experts will share research conducted with Data IQ to understand the likely impact of these regulations for both consumers and businesses and explore some of the fundamental changes between GDPR and the prior Data Protection Act. We will also offer practical advice on how your business can prepare your data management strategy for these changes.
