Validating an address with CASS and DPV data

A lot goes into confirming that an address is valid. For the United States Postal Service (USPS), there are several pieces of information needed to verify an address. When you use address validation software, it checks the information entered against USPS’s database and requirements. A couple of terms to know when it comes to address validation are CASS and DPV. The Coding Accuracy Support System (CASS) is a certification process used by USPS to evaluate the accuracy of address correction/matching software. Delivery Point Validation (DPV), which is one of the USPS-sourced files included in CASS data, is used to check the status of a specific address within the United States.

Regulation, fintech, customer experience: 3 lessons from CBA LIVE 2017

Deep in the heart of Texas, a consortium of professionals from the retail banking industry met last week for the seventh annual Consumer Bankers Association (CBA) LIVE conference. 3 takeaways from Enterprise Data World 2017

This year, Enterprise Data World (EDW) took their conference to the Omni Hotel in Atlanta, GA. EDW examines the latest trends in the world of data—especially in regards to data governance and data quality. This event focused on leveraging data as an asset and bringing IT and business users together to make better decisions for their enterprises. The keynote speakers focused on the emergence of the Chief Data Officer (CDO) within organizations, the importance of having a foundation of high quality data, data modeling, and much more.
